At Aspire Chess Center, we revolve around certain values, systems and processes. At the heart of this method is the team. We constantly look out for talented coaches who fit in with this criteria and would make a great team player.
What are we looking for:
Passion for Chess: A love for the game. If the teacher does not enjoy the game as much, he/she cannot inspire children and show them the hidden beauty of the game. As fellow chess trainers/teachers, we are also learners who constantly develop.
Passion for teaching and working with children: There is a big difference between teaching young children and teaching adults. The patience of a gardener is the secret that keeps coaches smiling amid a group of energetic kids. This is something that comes naturally and cannot be infused.
A team player: I am always reminded of the word Synergy. Together, ants build bigger things, carry more than their weight. A good team should be able to collaborate and achieve bigger aims.
Fun, creativity and co-creation: This is the best part of working with Aspire. The culture encourages creative co-creation, and we have a lot of fun doing what we love.
Tech-savvy: Not necessary to be tech-savvy, but being sufficiently computer-literate will help immensely since many of the systems for task management, performance monitoring and lesson organization are based on software solutions.
Communication: It is expected that the coach a high-level written/spoken level in English. More languages, better. But not really necessary.
What we offer:
– Competent salary based on your experience, either full-time, part-time for teaching advanced or beginner kids.
– An opportunity to grow as a player and a teacher.
– A place to experiment and learn about the intricacies of a startup and its different functionalities/processes.
– An exposure to our methods, a job you will enjoy doing.
